At Bixly, we don’t like to reinvent the wheel if we don’t have to. There are certainly times when a bespoke solution is the right way to go and our team is more than capable of handling that. On the other hand, we enjoy quickly and more affordably improving our clients websites. Using already existing libraries and APIs is one of the most common and effective ways to add features without exploding the budget.

This is exactly one of the ways we have iterated on the code base for our client LeadSherpa, who has a compliant text messaging service for real estate agents. With their app, agents can cultivate leads, create campaigns, and manage their customer data.

So where were some of the key areas we were able to do this for LeadSherpa?

First let’s talk about the front end libraries: We used a variety of add ons from Typescript, Redux, and React. Two features in particular took a fraction of the time while adding desirable features like a survey tool and customer support. We are not the first to need a survey tool and we won’t be the last. Implementing from a library means that our team can deliver something fast and high quality, passing on the savings to the customer.

We also made LeadSherpa data available through the Zapier set of tools. As companies rely increasingly on sophisticated and specific web apps, the more important it is for the data be shared among them. Plenty has been written on the topic of the internet of things. LeadSherpa offers a fantastic platform that addresses one aspect of a real estate agent’s job. Being able to seamlessly connect lead information to their favorite CRM and hundreds of other tools is extremely beneficial to that user’s experience. Not least of which, Zapier makes it easy for the user to customize which data and how it is shared to their other online tools.

Making your web app available to a service like Zapier could be a huge benefit to your customer base. Connect with us today to get this feature rolled out soon!
